A little monster movie from 1999, Virus was made quite a while after the original screenplay was penned. At the time, it wasn't quite as possible (blog post) to do the kinds of special effects that would be required, so it was made into a sci-fi movie reviews Dark Horse comic instead. Eventually, the story would be put to the film - but at what cost?
